He brings his gift and anointing to our church to continue to reach new souls for the Kingdom of God. He has served in ministry for over 33 years in the Roanoke area as a Youth Pastor and Senior Pastor.
Pastor Jeff’s responsibilities include the assimilation of new folks who visit our church. We feel that special attention is needed to help new people “lock in” to our local church. Pastor Jeff teaches our New Members class, oversees contact with all of our guests and visitors, and oversees our outreach events and special celebrations.
During the summer months, he oversees our “Salt Shaker Ministry” going beyond the walls of the church to our community. We are blessed to have Pastor Jeff as a part of our staff.
Henry and Paula Buckland, Assistant Pastors (Directors of Children’s Ministry)
Henry and Paula Buckland joined our staff in 2007. What a Godsend they are to our church! Pastors Henry and Paula are both ordained ministers who have a genuine calling to “reach children for Jesus Christ.” They have been active in children’s ministry for 27 years.
Henry has two A.A. degrees, one in Business Administration and the other in Human Services. Plus the Bucklands have attend numerous teaching and training seminars on Children’s Ministry presented by Willie George Ministries (Church On The Move, Tulsa, Ok), Mark Harper Ministries and other nationally know organizations.
Summer after summer, they traveled from church to church holding Vacation Bible Schools and community ministry. The Bucklands have actively supported a mission’s outreach to our Native Americans in North Carolina by traveling and holding Vacation Bible Schools as an outreach ministry.
Through the years, Henry and Paula have held children’s crusades and children’s ministry for many church conferences. We are blessed to have them join our local church staff and build a powerful ministry to our children. Our children’s ministry has grown from a handful to over 100 kids per week in Power Station Children’s Church. Hundreds of children have asked Jesus into their heart in the past four years under the Buckland’s ministry at NLCM.
